Graduates from the MMS Steinberg Diploma Course(s) leave the School qualified to move into a range of careers without the need for further study. The music industry today covers a wide spectrum, from the few long established worldwide ‘majors’ such as EMI, to a host of locally situated ‘independents’. More and more people have taken control of their futures in today’s music industry, which is characterised by self employment or freelance contract work. Courses at M.M.S incorporate the importance of personal attributes such as communication skills, self motivation, and responsibility. Links with the Manchester City Music Network ensure that students have invaluable free support from this unique organisation’s advisors as they move into their professional careers.
